    Default Tyres - thickness?

Just had to pull out at least a centimetre long screw, like the bumper/arch attachments out of the tyre, albeit in an ass twitching fashion... Come out with no hissing but was right on the outer edge of the lip.

But what is the thickness roughly or would it depend on make, good 7mm tread prob saved it like... Spent enough money on the cars lately!! Just getting flexi done as I type, no mod money left at this rate...

I know that feeling! Water pump failure, puncture and 2 new tyres for mot has really eaten into my mod fund! As for the tyre, no air, fingers crossed!

Pretty much straight in but was on the flat peak of the tread, and only 1/2cm in so Unrepairable if goes down...

Doing tensioner on the CDTI later, still need a stat and pretty sure the alternator pulley is starting to grind, the A2 still needs stuff doing, exhaust, hub etc... The 2.2 thats getting the flexi is also starting to squeek like a pig so that is prob another belt and tensioner...

Bonus in march is prob gonna be mostly on replacement parts before the map at this rate, no other mods

The shoulder portion of the tread is the thickest part,so you should be ok,but the one thing to remember is anything that enters the rubber could allow the steel cords to rust and weaken the tyre.
