    Default IPOd playback on CD70Navi

Purchased my 2007 Signum just before xmas. It has Ipod connection lead in Glovebox. I have connected Ipod and unit does not seem to recognize an external input. Complete novice at anything like this any tips on how I can get it to work.

The aux in CD70's usually have a 3.5mm jack in the odment tray have you followed the wire to where it is connected?

I'm assuming lead in glovebox is all connected to back of unit, I wondered if I need to change any settings to turn on the input for the Ipod. Car is otherwise well sorted with all other accessories working when I purchased it - Bury hands free, fold down DVD and freeview. I thought it would be a matter of connecting the Ipod and info would come up on screen. Cant ask previous owner as he emigrated to AUS

CD70 never had any ipod compatibility - simply the small jack in the oddments tray on the later models as mentioned above. If it is an ipod connection, it's purely for charging.....

I suppose that depends if it is a true Aux-In or
a Dension ICE link, which uses a hard wired FM radio / aerial signal to the head-unit.
In which case, selection would be via a particular radio frequency.
Higher spec systems now use RDS / EON to transmit track information to the display.

Dension ICE links do have iPod connectivity, which most people shove into the glovebox out of sight from would-be burglars.

For information, the new DAB units from places like AutoDAB also use this hard-wire inline aerial connection, and the RDS functionality.
