    Default bush upgrades?

Having done a bit of googling and raking the forum a bit im left scratching my head a little.

There are jobs thatll need doing on wifeys vec and i figure if im working near some bushes, might be as well changing them while im there. Ive had a bit of a poke round the car and can bet some of the bushes are still original as theyre a bit tired looking.

    Now to the question:
Have you upgraded any bushes and if so, what did you use and do you feel there was a noticable improvement.

The reason for asking is id like to retain a decent ride but improve the handling a bit and ive learned in the past that going poly mad isnt always the best route when quality of the ride is just as important as improving the handling/ feel.

    Thanks
    Jim

yep Jim fitted the SAAB droplinks, now 'if' they are supposed to be the 'same' as in part numbers etc, there was 4mm difference in the diameter of the bar & the ball at the end you could see they were bigger

    Hello,

Saab droplinks are exactly the same (GM parts, actually, same parts numbers as well) as ours Vectras'.

Meyle makes uprated droplings that are suitable for both Saab 9-3 SS and Vectra C SRi/VRx (or any sports suspension model).

You can find them at PFS, or anywhere else.

There's no such reinforced aftermarket equivalent for the rear suspension, however.

About front ARB bushings, you'll have to be careful the kind you choose, as they exist in two different shapes depending on the year (plus several different diameters) :

Really? Got a link? I'd be interested. I have the ARB bushes to do too and am also wondering about polyurethane replacements. Anyone tried them? Much better? Or should I stick cheap and cheerful rubber ones in for now and realise that they won't last forever? Opinions please! Paul
