Yes. Both Pre and facelift have Alu framed and skinned bonnets. Not sure why they made them out of Alu, may have been to save weight or to make them more pedestrian crash friendly.

Yeah, same here, plus the struts were completely worn after 9 years...

I ordered 680 N ones from Poland, and now I have to catch the lid to avoid it rockets up like a catapult !

They should still stay stiff enough so the hatch will never fall on my head anymore for the 10 next years or more...

Anyway, everyone can be glad the boot is made of good steel. A guy here hit a Subaru Impreza from behind, driving too fast at a traffic light. As you may know, the Impreza's boot is made of aluminium... And it was the Estate model. Well, the car went straight INTO the boot AND rear seats, only to stop against the front seats backs. Frightening... And really glad with my steel hatch, believe me. Our bonnet is made to fold in order to protect people inside the car, but I wouldn't trust a boot made out of toilet paper to protect me from a madman hitting me from behind...

    Sure !

Now it says 625 N... But I just clicked from my email and the links is still alive. Searched through the seller's items and this is the only one he's got for hatchbacks. Maybe it depends on his current provider ?

Anyway, even 625 N will still be better than 520.
