    Default CD70 Central Dial

    Hi Folks

The rubber around the central 'main' dial on my cd70 infotainment unit has become loose and I was wondering if anyone knows if these (the whole dial that is) can be bought/replaced?

    Many thanks

Remove the dial/switch... superglue the loose grip back in place then refit the dial/switch.... any mess neatly hidden.

Handyandy-UK Many thanks for coming back so quickly! Trouble is that the rubber is stretched and slightly dozed so the whole thing looks tired even after the 'superglue treatment'! Really looking to replace the thing because the rest of the units is in top condition!

I've had a good search online and I can't find anywhere offering replacement parts for either CD70 or CD50 (which is the CD70 without satnav). Looks like unless you can find a scrap headunit and swap the dial, your best bet may be VERY CAREFULLY using heat to resize the grip ring.... OR... using a scapel (or similar) to cut the grip ring, remove a sufficient section and the fit the shortened grip ring so the ends meet seamlessly...

... using a rubber based glue might be a bit more practical though...

... think of it as a challenge...
