    Default bonnet alarm switch

Does the alarm switch under the bonnet make or break the circuit?

I presume that means it allows electricity to flow when the bonnet is opened with the alarm armed?

It could equally be that the switch is closed (ie circuit completed) when the bonnet is closed, or when it's open, so I'm with @merikiito on this one - only way you'll tell is by putting a meter across it for continuity.
