confused What kind of anti-roll bar bushings ???

    Hello,

I wont' ask about the diameter here (I still have to measure my ARB with a vernier caliper or try to read the part number somwhere), but about the... Correct shape !

    Does it sound weird ?

Believe me, it sounds weird to me too.

The point is, I'd like to replace them with Powerflex ones, but they offer two completely different models for the same car, and all of them exist according to the different common diameters !

Just one is stated "2 piece", though all of them are further described as sold by pair anyway !

I really can't understand... Just look at the strange shape this model has (look at the strange protuberances) :

While I think this one looks more like the original part (or so do I guess) :

It's the so-called "2 piece" one, BTW, and the most expensive, too. Anyway, the problem isn't (only) the price there, but rather the shape !

    What do you think ?

I'm completely lost there. Help, please !

Yours should be the first ones as I don't think the 2 piece bushes were used until the facelift came out. The bits moulded into the bush help it locate into the metal saddle and stop it sliding out.

The two piece bushes are just that, there are two bits to them where as the one part bush is in the shape of a "D" with one side cut open (to allow it to go onto the Arb)

Mine are the same as the top ones aswell, the slice/cut is at the bottom off the bush (the flat part).

Had the same problem with mine few weeks back, i measured the anti roll bar at 24mm and ordered the same bushes as i did on the womans pre facelift a few months back, but when i took the old ones out the were the 2 piece type which i had never seen anything like before, so went back to the auto factors but they didnt list them so rang main dealer and they said somthing like €7 +vat each, so i said grand that be about €20 or there abouts.... but when i went to collect the robbin ******s charged near €40 as each bush was classed as 2 pieces so for 2 sets was 4 pieces!! If i had to know that before hand i would of bought the powerflex ones as they were only€5 extra

    Oh, I see.

    Now I understand the difference.

So since mine is a 2003 preface, it should have the first kind, right ?

Thank you so much for your help.
