Default Road Angel + Parrot Into Cigarete Lighter Socket.... Wise?

Chaps, I'm hardwiring my Road Angel Gem and my Parrot Mki9000 into my Veccy C. Both items advise poweing them from the 12v dash cigarette lighter. (The Roan Angel has essentially a 12v Socket extensin lead and the parrot has '+' wire from the harness).

My question is this... When I am driving on my bluetooth phone...with my road angel running and with my 'For Example' Sat Nav plugged into Ciggy Ligher... Will I be overloading the sockets capabilities and be popping fuses etc...?

(Secondly has anybody actually hard wired a Road Angel. I think I want it at Centre of Dash as far back as possible however cannot see where / how I can run the cable.... advice welcome)

You have to watch hard wiring some of these kinds of items, because some of them do not run on 12v, any are 5v's and the plug actually reduces the voltage. If you dont have Climate Control you can fit an aux socket(or run a wire) under the small grill in the center of the dashboard between the windscreen vents. Think Ian Highlander did this.

Alternatively, if you are just looking to hard wire the Road Angel and don't really want to mess with a cigarette lighter plug, then you can consider something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2211650380...84.m1439.l2649

That looks perfect, would definatly save alot of time. Without sounding too dim. I still need to connect that + & - to a power source on the vehicle, which would I then use as I need an igntion live I believe?

You have several choices available fella, most seem to choose the cigarette lighter with a high current rating although I believe there are other sockets designed for optional extras behind the dash that you could equally use for a low power device like this.
Look for threads on fitting bluetooth audio and phone kits because those are the sockets I am talking about.
