Ticking 2.8 v6 auto and loss of power when driven hard

Hi everyone, a few weeks ago I had a problem with a faulty coil that I replaced, now I have a problem when accelerating hard. The car momentarily loses power and the eml light flashes. The car then juddered like it was misfiring, I pulled over and took my keys out. On restarting a minute later the car was back to normal with no eml light. Now I can feel a very slight misfire when pootling along at 50mph ish although the car responds well to fairly hard acceleration.
For the last couple of months I have a had a constant ticking under the bonnet. Could the two be related in any way ? Could it be the timing chain 'slipping' ?

You need to get the fault codes read, best case scenario you have one or more coil packs needing replaced. Worst case scenario is the timing chain has stretched which is bad.
