Perhaps resetting has taken it back to it's 'pre-installed' state and so it now needs to be told what it's security code is ?

once reset, it will ask for a code to lock it with, IF the unit is truly reset this new code can be anything you want it to.. BUT to get it all working correctly it needs to be your cars security code. Try going into another module and variant config, it will ask you for the security code, if it accepts this then you know you are using the correct code for the car. If not then you have the wrong code to begin with.... But thinking about it u needed to enter the security code to reset the CIM unit....

Once you get the CIM programmed you then need to reset/reprogram all of the following IPC, REC, DDM, PDM and BCM.

so is the general consensus i have screwed it up with the unnamed software, if this is the case does this mean all of this must be done with tech 2 ie i will have to get the car on a low loader or get a mobile out??
