    Default Signum turbo wastegate help

As the title really. Have pre facelift signum 2.0t, garrett turbo I believe. I need to purchase the wastegate diaphragm repair kit but can not find a part number or after market kit anywhere. My local dealer even told me they are no longer available as it is an older car! Would anyone have a part number or link to somewhere I can get hold of this? Any help would be appreciated!

@Caveman_nige is probably the best man to ask, he should be along shortly if he gets this notification

Thanks, caveman nige has given me good advise in the past, just drawing a blank with this one. Even the name of a parts dealer that knows what there talking about would be a decent start!

post 8.. @Rebellion had to buy one recently, so he knows where and what part numbers etc.. If he does not pop along you can send him a PM, I am sure he will come back to you with good info.

Hi mate, have looked at this site. Am I being thick but I can't seem to find the correct part?! Couldn't see the spring and diaphragm as a kit.

Basically you need to take your turbo off to investigate this problem. You have had this problem for a while now and mentioned it on other threads, i would not have been handle the fault for a single day.

Have a read of this thread.. http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...ight=diaphragm

don't bother asking duncan anything though as he does not come on this forum anymore.. Although most of the posts in there are useless and just people blowing sunshine up his rear end, there are some useful bits of info buried in it..

Its going to cost you whatever it is.. You could just buy a replacement recon turbo and just swap them over so you can trade in the old one etc. personally I would get a bigger better turbo plus lines and a remap.

Sorry for the delay, couldn't find the invoice with the part number on it, so resorted to using EPC. You need 55558271 - if you can get it for less than £100, you're doing well, as the full retail price is circa £175.

Also worth noting that I got the same error on mine and it was actually the wastegate had come loose on the actuator arm (Duncan had his fall off completely on his Garrett 2052). The Garretts seem to be prone to this as they get older.

Rather than pay all the costs involved to repair/replace it, I just bought the Mitsubishi TD04L14T and the map upgrade. High pressure turbo instead of low pressure and a lot more oomph keeps me smiling every time I get behind the wheel.

Edit: ahh, that's the thread of Duncan's from a few years back that Nige has linked to in fact.
