Engine Hoses

Hi,

Im trying to think of cheap ideas to make my car look nice.

My latest idea is to replace some of the engine hoses with either black or blue silicone hoses.

I have a 1.8 122bhp Club, which pipes would bring the best (and cheapest) which would make the best visual impact. Is there already a kit or would I need to get a universal hose and cut it?

Please show pictures if you have already done it!!

I doubt there are any existing hose kits specific to your engine - most of the Vec-C engines aren't catered for. You can use universal hoses, but they'll either only be suitable for straight sections or you'll need to use elbows and joining pieces etc.

Surely you could use flexible silicone hoses? As long as they're ok to run at high temperatures.

Just measure the angles, I did loads on My Supra this way, just made them with alloy bends with silicone couplers also used silicone bends

I used parts from autosiliconehoses.com on my Zafira GSi cdti airbox conversion. Was miles cheaper than buying one from a tuning company.

Did you find anything on this? I have the same lump and would like something to jazz up the engine bay.

Have a look through my threads you will find one of mine its a 2.2 but you can just get universal hoses and make them fit.
