    Default Damn you park heater.

Sure it`s nice to leave home with warm car........if it starts

This is the first time battery was empty due to a park heater usage. My brother was around with cables and now the car is running

Just a reminder, if you have and use park heater, drive the car as long as you have heated before to charge the battery

Uk variants of the Vectra don't have it as standard at all. Doesn't get cold enough over here for it to be needed as a standard part. Although there are a few international members who may have it.

It`s not standart here in Finland either. But it`s a nice bonus to have and good selling point. Actually when I bought the car a month ago, the seller didn`t tell me it has a park heater. I was quite happy to find out it has one It`s around 1500-2000 euros to buy one, huh.

Plenty of webasto units around to be converted to fit for cheap money.

A nice bonus if the car is parked outside all the time.

Didn't realise you could get these for the Vectra, I had one on my ZT, great piece of kit, had it nice and cosy for the icy morning commutes

During the recent cold spells, and with me leaving for work 60 miles away at 4.30am, its the one thing I miss from my last car which was an mgzt cdti. That had a remote so you switched it on when you woke up and when you got in the car it was toasty warm.

The Vec has always heated up really quickly (or at least mine always has), I think the turbo makes a big difference as that generates a lot of heat even at idle. Usually find by the time I've left our little close, the air coming out of the heaters is warming up already and the heated seats are already starting to get warm anyway
