Sadly, its time to let the Vectra goI've got a new job, much closer to home, so I've no need for such a big car anymore - cant remember the last time someone sat in the back of it. Had three happy years with the Vec, but time for an A3 or Scirocco.
I have owned the car for the past three years, prior to that, it was owned by a family friend who had it 4 years.
Low mileage, only 78350 - although this will increase as the car is in daily use.
Extensive spec includes:
- Full SRI styling pack (bumpers, side skirts, spoiler, lights, speedo)
- 17" SRI alloy wheels. Good condition, only minor kerbing. Tyres with lots of tread (see photo)
- Gorgeous black leather interior
- Full colour integrated SATNAV (CD70)
- Premium sound system
- iPod connectivity
- Bluetooth handsfree (Parrot mki9100)
- Rear parking sensors
- Cruise control
- Trip computer
- Front fogs with upgraded Signum surrounds
- Front and rear cupholders
- Genuine Vauxhall fitted rubber mats
- Sunglasses holder
The car has been maintained regardless of cost, and hasn't wanted for anything and has a full service history. Timing belt, fan belt and water pump changed at 71000. New radiator at 76000. Serviced regularly and all re-calls carried out, including handbrake re-call. The car is regularly washed and polished by hand - I never put my cars through mechanical car washes! The leather is looked after with baby wipes, avoiding using damaging chemicals which crack and weaken it. As stated, the car has been my pride and joy, if I have had to park it in a public carpark, it is always parked miles away from the door - away from shopping trolleys and school-run chelsea tractors which have their doors flung open by small children!
The car is very economical, and achieves 52 mpg on the motorway. It handles long motorway journeys with ease, cruise control on and enjoy the comfy leather seats and premium sound system.
As this is the 1.8 petrol model, it doesn't suffer any of the problems associated with the troublesome 1.9 CDTI. No worries about Dual-mass flywheel, diesel particulate filter, EGR, swirl valves etc.
I have the car on my own private registration; this is in the process of being removed, and is not included in the sale.
This really is a truly outstanding example of a Vectra, with a very high specification. It has been maintained regardless of costs and really has been looked after. Extras such as the SATNAV and leather set it apart from other Vectras. Viewers certainly will not be disappointed! Any inspection by AA/RAC/Greenflag etc welcomed - I am absolutely confident in the mechanical soundness of the car.
