    Wink finally getting new exhaust fitted yessss!!!!

    Went down to aas this afternoon, booked in for may 15th..for duel exit 4 inch round tip design. Just refurbed rear bumper and goin to paint vxr rwar diffuser this week..its a cat- back..wil it bee much louder then standad anyone no?

    anyone no if it will be louder or does the cat need to come out to hear a differance?????

    depends on what back boxes they are using ...sport or mid sport sound ..I am right and that your replacing the whole exhaust system/cat back ?

    Should be notably louder than standard mate if its cat back but not overly so,I had the back boxes done on my old 2.2 direct signum and rather disappointingly it was not much louder than standard,looked the mutts though lol

    yeah cat to back, he said he was going to put one small box on just before pipe splits into two..then str8 pipes out the back..hope its alot louder then standard

    dont get any boxes mate mine from the turbo straight out in two pipes sounds sexy as **** for a derv will upload a vid to youtube mate yes i got ya pm forgot to reply lol

    Double-double Irmy is way louder (bass grunt) than standard SRi exhaust... On a 2.2 DTi. Don't know how it would change on a petrol, though there are a lot a small cars running around with sports exhaust, making noise and only noise BTW (they still pull like wheelbarrows, actually ), so I guess it will be louder anyway.

    I emptied the catalyser recently, as the caked turbo had filled it with soot and something had to be done. The engine now revs very fast, but I noticed absolutely no change in noise. On the other hand, diesels are never really loud at the exhaust. It's OK like that for me, actually : I never aimed at bothering the neighbours. Once again, it may be different on a petrol engine.
