    Default my 2.2 direct sri

started "spring" clean today seeing as the weather is unbelievably mild for this time of year in north scotland

removed the wheels in order to give them a good clean and also allow access to the arches. both the arches and the wheels got a good soak in megs apc, followed by a bit of agitation with a brush/mitt and some cheapo halfords shampoo, then rinsed off. i went on to polish the alloys using poorboys ssr1 and protect them with poorboys wheel sealant, the stuff smells amazing!

good few hours work and the usual looks from the neighbours

anyway pics say a thousand words, to be continued........

thanks guys, today's main tasks, door shuts, interior clean , engine bay....

door hinges degunked , i know its part of service but i kinda wish vauxhall mechs would go easy on the grease, less is more guys the middle arm was a right mess so I removed all grease and put on some hellfrauds bike hut grease in its place, the rest were just tidied up a bit

mat locating pegs are not quite in the right place on my latest set of mats so they lift a bit in the middle

and the drivers wear pad has started to wear already, oh well the hunt for the perfect mats continues...

    boot liner is smart though

    LESS IS... oh never mind

    cleaned up coolant reservoir

only went for a quick spin to get petrol and clear rust off the brake discs and my hard work on the arches is undone

wheels still looking good though, will need to get some wet'n'black for tyres

aye it's best tyre dressing I've tried so far, can't go past it now. not sure what the plan is for tomorrow depends on whether the postie brings a big box of goodies or not, finished up today by washing car with apc ready for claying, she's now tucked up in the garage

topper of a day again today in sunny scotland, so the car came out of the garage, clayed using the 3m clay recommended by antB in this thread ... http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...y-Bar-Heads-up

wasn't a major need for claying but it was worth doing all the same.

removing it from wrapper it came out like chewing gum! but once wet and worked over a bit it felt right, actually prefer it to megs clay.

then went over entire car with poorboys ssr1 polish, then poorboys sealant.

    a few pics...
