Vectra 2.2 Direct Auto Car and Spanner light

Hiya Guys, just purchased a new Vectra 2.2 SRI Direct 2005 and have noticed that when its cold outside or from first start in the mornings on cold days (before engine has got warm) I get the following light come on the dash:

If its warm outside the light does not come on, it seems that temperature is a factor to the problem.

This light will extinguish when the engine is warm or ignition off then back on jobby and doesn't come on at all unless car is cold.

Can somebody tell me if this is a sign of gearbox failure or sensor failure? this sounds like a stupid thing to ask but is the gearbox oil separate from engine oil? Regards Steve

Just an update to the problem, driving home today and got EML on, diagnostic showing Cylinder 3 + 4 Misfire.... any ideas guys?

Get the car put on a Tech 2 or Vaux-com to scan it.
