Default Vectra c fob re-syncing correct procedure please

    Hi all

ive fixed reverse lights. Bulb and pad warnings next Is fob.

Ive read about 3 different re-syncing procedures and need a definite explanation before I pay out.

Vectra 1.8 ls 52 plate c newer shape with 3 button remote ie including boot.

The fob was a bit worn so I had a look and the battery is ok but found a button unsolder end and the battery terminal dry joint so I've fixed these faults
i get 3v at buttons and when pressed they drop to 1.5v for a few seconds. I don't see an led and its back together now but does nothing.
Does anyone know the exact procedure for this car.?
or a test to see if the fob is transmitting. Would a radio receiver set to 433mhz hear it ?
    cheers

    Default

To re-sync a fob to the rentral locking, pop the key in the ignition and turn it to the second position (ignition on). While on, press the lock and unlock buttins around 3-4 times each, then turn off and key out. press the lock button and it should start working again.

This will only work if the key is programmed to the car previously. Change of battery or repairing the buttons should get away with the above procedure

Put key in ignition and turn to position 2.
    Press lock/unlock buttons.
If resync is sucessful, the C/L should operate.

There is also another procedure mentioned in newer handbooks too:-
Unlock door with key in lock. Inserting the key into the lock synchronises the radio remote control. Now whether the latter refers to the door lock or ignition lock, I have no idea.
