The Future of PS trailer went live a last week.. TBH not that fussed about PS4, and not sure why you'd want a touchpad on a controller as I cannot see a need for it, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly suprised.. I am looking forward to the next Xbox though, and thats rumoured to be announced at this years E3.. but we'll see if that happens

Ps4 or whatever there gonna call it as its not going to be called 4 but orbis or something like that may get announced at E3 as well Gonna defo look to get one but would also like the new xbox as well as most people on here tend to have a xbox for cod lol

I also dont see what the problem is with the no backwards compatible arguement. The Ps3 was only backwards compatible for the first batch of them that came out. Mine was one of them and i works with Ps2 games but ive never used it as i have a ps2? When i get a Ps4 i will have the Ps3 sat next to it whats the big deal?

Yep i cant wait and i rather have the ps im just biased and why would you want to play ps3 games on the orbis or 4 when better games graphically will be better on it jus hope they dont over price it then 6 months later get a slim versionone out lol

Slim version wont come out till mid way through its life. Will probs be over priced on launch day lol

I love my ps2 for tekken 3 and tekken tag tournament.

Its the only reason i keep it.

I'm interested to see what both the PS4 and Xbox 720 (or whatever they are called) bring to the table. Although I have a Wii, the Wii-U just hasn't grabbed me at all. Trust me, nobody is more surprised than me that I haven't found some excuse to buy one, but I haven't, lol!

PS4 - Urgh.... Why on earth they are going down the route of some of the things, I do not know. Touchscreen controllers? Download only? That means you have to buy the games from SONY only.... Have you seen the price of the games on the PS store compared to the other retailers? I really cant understand why there been so greedy and cutting out the pre owned market....

Everything I've read about the PS4 suggests it will be more expensive than the next Xbox, but that's no surprise because even now the PS3 is more expensive than an X360.. I've also read that the PS4 will have just 4GB of ram with 512MB reserved for OS, while the Xbox has 8GB with 3GB reserved for OS.. Sony is doing away with the cell processor and both platform will be using AMD's Jaguar tech that features eight-core CPUs clocked around 1.6GHz and both will have multiple GPU's and spare cores for future use..

Both consoles are rumoured to draw around 150W from the mains which is less than PS3 & X360 power consumption that was close to 200W on the original versions and this should reduce the dangers of more YLOD / RROD issues for both consoles...

Of course until both consoles are officially announced this is all just speculation, and speculation in the electronics / gadget / gaming industry is notoriously rife...
