OP is after a standard look of which 4.3k is the factory temp. Nothing to do with MOT passing etc, there are already hundreds of threads about the legalities. 6k is not a factory colour temp but is the borderline of white to blue.

That's what I recommend. The 4300 are bit yellow tbh and 6k were too blue; which the 5k offer a nice balance. Some even claim the 5k are brighter and whiter then 4300k & 6000k.

the goods have arrived, now i just need a dry day to fit them, i'm definatly going to go with the 4.3k, i just want a stadard look, but improved lighting

8 & 10k get through MOT round my way...

done the job today, 4.3k went in, and working perfectly (at the moment anyway lol), alligned properly at garage and the difference is (pardon the pun) night and day. not interested in how they look, couldnt care less if they still looked the standard h7 bulb yellow, just need more light down on the road without blinding oncoming traffic

next job tomorrow, oil and filter change

glad the result was what you are looking for. I t is by far one of the best things you can do for the Vec. Even 4.3 are noticably whiter than the standard bulbs but still work well with the standard main and side. got my service due also, nice and free tho courtesy of my friendly mechanic!!
