    Default Anti-theft registration plate screws

Called into our local Waitrose last year, the police had a stall in the carpark fitting anti-theft registration plate screws - apparently there'd been a spate of thefts. Was a freebie, so got it done.

Now the time has come to sell the Vec and buy a new car, how do I take my private reg off? I'd rather not grind the heads off, ruining my plates and risking damaging the paintwork.

Apologies if this isn't allowed to be discussed, or I sound thick. Not actually tried yet, paperwork is due back any day, and the Vec is in the body shop after a van slid into the back of it, when we had the snow

They are simply one way screws, numberplates is one of their uses
Cut a deep channel in the screw (a Dremel type tool is ideal for this)
Insert your screwdriver and turn slowly

Just tap with hammer and screwdriver/ chisel then get mile grips off.

Some times anti theft are easier to get off than corroded standard screws lol
