Default Changing GTi-6 for a Vectra 1.9 cdti 150 Elite

    Hi Everyone,

Glad I have found this great forum packed with loads of information.

I'm looking at changing my 306 GTi-6 for a Vectra 1.9 cdti 150 Elite. Its time to progress onto a bigger more economical car.

I will be looking at 2007-last year made, can anyone advise what to look out for or point me to any information that will help buying a good one.

    Thanks

    David

Check for the usual twangs & rattles on the front & rear suspension, you want to see it fire from cold & listen for any rattles in the flywheel, also check around the swirl bar area if its not clean around the top of the swirls... walk away!

Stear well clear of Signums, they're for weirdo's!

The Preface Vectra's are by far the better looking and they are ofcourse faster in Moonland Grey, regardless of engine or spec.

Hi thanks for all the reply, the time has now come to start looking. I am looking at an 06 plate 1.9 cdti Elite in pomegranate red in the morning. Its covered 72000 miles and had 2 owners, they are asking £4500 for it, which seems reasonable seem to pay more for this color over black and silver.

Apart from the above can anyone think of anything else i should look out for?

    Thanks

    David
