Cambelt Change

Hi all,

I am about to change my cambelt on a 1.8 2004 estate.

Can i just change the belt or do i have to change the waterpump etc.

Its the water pump and tensioners that fail and break the belts............So yes replace it/them

You can just change the belt.

But it would be silly to only change that.

as its very rare that a belt fails on its own.

best to fit a complete kit with tensioner and any idlers.
along with water pump
