    Default HID Problem

    Hi people,

Got a strange problem with my right side HID light/bulb, i start the car up then turn on the dipped lights, the right side HID light is not coming on, then secs later bulb warning comes on. Ok so i switch engine off, turn on dipped light, the right side HID light does come on but there is a 2 sec delay time to it (not normal), now with it still on i start the car up it stays on, then just to test, i switch off dipped lights, and back on again, right side not coming on again.
Is this a sign of the HID bulb on the way out, or the ballast / canbus canceller gone faulty.

    Thanks.

Try swapping the lamps over and see if the fault moves too. If not then I'd be thinking maybe the ballast is dying.

I was thinking about that, swapping the ballast over.

Well whether you move the lamps or the ballasts, either should give you a better idea where the fault lays... process of elimination.

Well if it is the bulb, it lasted over a year and 2 months.

I once had an intermittant offside HID. Most of the time it would work, occasionally it wouldn't until I turned it off/on again.

One day it stopped working altogether. It turned out to be a duff HID bulb.

Might wanted to swap ballasts around and see if the problem follows.

I have a 35w one spare and also a few 6k bulbs spare

If you need a replacement ballast or bulb just pm me.

Bulb is free the ballast will be a tenner posted
