Of course it does. Why would we drive a 3.0 if it didn't haha

Cheers for the tip mate. I'll try to get my hands on a syringe.

I ran out of fuel today. When re-filled it wouldn't start if my life depended on it. The belgian AA came to help and they fired it up with the start spray...oh well. Lesson learnt not to drive 60miles with the range showing 0.......

The whole starting issue was made worse by my injectors being full of oil......not sure how that would happen. However replaced with my old set, started first time. Cue much happiness and dancing. Short lived as soon followed by a leak of nasty black stuff, looked like a mix of coolant, oil and diesel. Odd that as was a mix of coolant(leaking from EGR cooler) Oil (leaking from turbo feed from the block) and diesel (leaking from the injectro return on the rear cylinder head)..... All leaks now resolved except fro the injector. Does anybody know, other than the stealer, where i might get a suitable banjo bolt from M10x 1.25 and 30mm long under the head....not a standard size and like rocking horse manure.....

Martyngell, slightly off subject to start with, but I assume you must have disconnected all the high pressure fuel lines when you stripped the engine down. How did you depressurise the system as I am going to tackle an injector soon?

Now back to subject, if a little late. There should be a marker on the crank shaft pulley. If I remember rightly when I did mine a couple of years ago the mark was full of dirt and invisable until I scrapped it. Also the mark on the casing is not easly seen with the engine in the car. I think I had to use a mirror to be sure I had it lined up.

With regards de-pressurising...didn't! Had the fuel rail and injectors off several times and never had an issue.
