confused No Power, don't know why...

    56, 1.9 cdti 150.

Started out with a lack of power at low end, turbo would eventually kick in after 4th gear, sometimes not at all. problem got worse and after all the oil went through the air intake system I replaced the turbo.

Test drive with new turbo and the oil loss problem is fixed, so I know the turbo seals were shot.

However there is no power at all.

    EGR is blanked
No cracks or splits in any pipes
    Boost Sensor cleaned

At a bit of a loss here!

    Any suggestions?

All clips are good, replaced bad ones. Boost pipes have no splits. I haven' taken the boost solenoid apart.

Could it be a DPF problem?

I just had out again, it wont go much past 2000 revs, struggles to do 50mph and the car and spanner light has come on. No error codes as yet though.

    Latest update:

Spanner light went off and Engine light came on so I can now read fault code P2279, which is what it came up with before it went real bad. I assume this is because the EGR is blanked?

The car is now running a lot better, still a little sluggish but deffinately better!

So whilst the car drives, there is no boost. Struggling to rev above 2400. Changed boost pipes today, old ones were fine and it has made no difference. I put my thumb over the end of the pipe at idle and there was suction there.

My solenoid is the glued together kind. Has anyone been able to get one of these open to clean inside at all. I have removed the filter.

    Totally stumped.

There is a bit of oil around the top of swirl flaps 3 and 4, would this be a cause of air loss and lack of power?

When the oil seals went on the turbo, is it possible that oil got sucked into the vacuum line that controls the vgt? i once spilt a bit of brake fluid when topping up a zafira. the fluid got in the boost solenoid for the turbo which is right under the reservoir and there was a total loss of power till we sucked all the brake fluid out.

    Could be a blocked exhaust.

Are you getting vacuum in and out of the solenoid? Does the turbo actuator move freely?

do you have access to read live/ actual data?

yes I have vacuum in and out and the actuator moves freely.

I dont have acces to read live/actual data, What do I need for that?

I only have a code reader which is giving P2279 and P0400 (EGR is blanked)

I though about a blocked exhaust, but the car commutes everyday at motorway speeds for over half hour each way and the error code suggesting a mechanical air leak I had ruled that out and am resigning to the fact the swirl flap bearings are were the leak is.

I don't know, please keep throwing suggestions my way and I will check them out.
