Default Written off, but back on the road!

061 (640x441).jpg002 (640x480).jpgAfter having had my car written off, it's back on the road (cat c) and I think you'll agree my man has done a fab job!

Insurance value £2,300, bought back by me for £600, complete bumper off ebay for £80 and £550 for all the work. So I've got my workhorse back plus around £1,100 in my pocket.

    Nice one.

Was it just the bumper and tailgate that were damaged? in the first pic, it looks as if it is sitting at a really odd angle?

I think its just because the photo was taken in the dark making it look a bit odd. I left the Vauxhall badges off as they were a silly price, plus I know it's a Vauxhall so didn't need reminding!

Nice work - it's ridiculous what gets written off these days really, for relatively minor damage. Has having a cat c affected your premium much?

Not sure yet. In fact this was 4 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything more. I'm assuming someone will contact me in due course, it's all new to me.

The one I bought from ebay was called Metro blue and it was a completely different shade, a lot darker so I'm not sure what mine is.
