power steering pumnp

Morning to all, Just had the steering rack replaced (in France which has been interesting and time consuming), I would reccomend CES autoparts Llandudno Junction branch as exceptional, Many organized the shipping of the rack it arrived (DHL) in 5 days (over a weekend). I have been told that the steering pump is noisy (which is common on the vec-c) and that the pump has to be changed at the opel dealers, is this true, does the pump need a tech 2 to pair it to the car, or is it a plug and play, car is a y30 2004 sri. I think I was lucky as my pump was plug in and play, no warning lights and it didn't have to be coded..this was a 2nd hand unit.

Sounds like your having a bit of an adventure.. :-(

sure am, on a 1-2 year contract, so brought the car over and have been having a fun time (expensive) getting any repairs done
