u mean right = read? was looking at a BDM unit, if your seriously gonna start flashing your own you need backup support or a BDM unit yourself

I met a several post claiming many successful flash with cheep MPPS on edc16c9. And only one fail. I personally flash mine 5-6 times.
However will not recommend you start flashing with MPPS without having a full read as a backup.
I got BDM unit and full BDM read (not mine) of same SW and HW number ECU as back up.
... should not be a problem having a spear car, 2005 vectra C cost about a monthly wage...
yeo i do dean lol heads in the clouds mate
I have a BDM100 as precaution. Used it once to read an EDC16C39 for backup - never had to use it in anger yet to 'repair' a bricked ECU. I've done umpteen read/writes with MPPS clone on both C9 and C39. Did once brick a C39 due to OLS outputting a dud file (root cause = operator error!), but amazingly MPPS managed to recover it when I did 'ECU ID' then 'Write' with a good file.
I don't understand what some people are saying about doing 'full read' via OBD. My MPPS will only read data area (i.e. partial read).
Did you get the clamps and desk stand for yours?

No, I just solder wires onto it. Its a doddle compared to repairing a VP44 pump control unit (which I've also done!)
even easyer doin it with a bootloader cable god i love mine lmao
