Depends on how it's driven. You could probably burn through one in 30k with hard round town work and booting it everywhere. Average seems to be about 60-70k. My car has only done motorway work all its life and is still on the original one at 116k.

Mines on 94k and to my knowledge hasn't had a replacement!

Drives fine at the moment! Hopefully it stays that way as its not a cheap job on a diesel!

Down to how you drive, it should last the life of the car

Yes, but DMF's have been noted to go more prematurely than clutches, no matter how you drive.

Still down to the way you drive, have done over 1 million miles and only ever had to replace one clutch and DMF both of which was due to the previous driver of my current car (gave me the excuse to upgrade to a fast road clutch )

I was referring to poor-quality DMF's, which has figured a lot on this forum. Not so clutches. The DMF had been replaced on my car before I bought it (at 38K)(known failure rate), still on the original clutch at nearly 68K.

I suggest that DMF's have been historically/statistically generally more likely to fail than clutches on the Vectra

Mine has just gone past 90k on originals. Our 1.9 tdi Leon needed a flywheel at 30k!
