Just after some opinions as to wether any of you would be put off by high mileage (in this case around 115k) if the car in question had FSH ?. Its a 1.9cdti

Proberbly ready for a dual mass flywheel and clutch unless its had it
Diesels are more reliable than their petrol counterparts at this mileage, nothing to worry about as long as it has a full history and has had belts, water pump, clutch done recently, then it should last you a while longer
So i need to find out if its had the DMF and clutch done what about the inlet manifold ?
Pull the cover off the engine and see if there's any crap around the swirl flaps. If not then don't worry. DMF and clutch may or may not have been done but if it's just sat on a motorway like mine, at 116k it's only just starting to rattle a little bit now.
I wouldn't worry too much as long as its got service history showing belt and pump.
mileage to clutch isn't really a factor. A car with 40k could quite easily have a clutch twice as worn to that of one on a 100k its down to driving style. Type of use etc.
my v6 had a new clutch at 126k and DMF was still fine I just replaced it for piece of mind
Alan , have you found a metro blue Signum?
Yep, diesels and high mileage go well together, as long as the car has been well looked after. On the 1.9's cambelt and water pump is a must before the manufacturer's interval of 100,000 K and 10 years. Just had mine done for peace of mind at 67½ K.
So says the man whose CIM needs replacing for the second time in 2½ years.....but that's a Vectra problem, not a diesel one.
They'll do 200k easy, but will cost you getting there like most modern diesels.
Mileage not a problem if its got history and at a good price![]()
