    No it only goes away if the car is switched off for a few minutes.
    Its the yellow oil can light with the wavy line underneath. Not the red oil can light for oil pressure, if I understand it correctly.

    I would try an oil and filter change first, amke sure you use he correct oil.

    Do you think that might cure the problem?
    I guess it's worth a try as I could re-use the new oil if it doesn't cure it, the sensor is just over £50 so would be a far better option.

    There are some old posts on here with exactly the same issue, oil level warning light showing eventhough there was sufficient oil in the sump. An oil change seemed to sort the problem.

    Hi thanks again. Just managed to change the oil and filter this morning.
    Will have to wait and see if its cured it or not when I take car on a run later.
    Hopefully it's cured it though.

    Just a quick update.

    Managed to take the car out yesterday evening after the oil and filter change.
    So far the light has not come back on so hoping that it has cured my problem, will have to see over weekend if its cured for good.

    Thanks again Ben50n may of saved me a good £60 + lots of hassle
