Default Recommend me a good warranty

Well looking at all the common faults the cdti 150 have i was thinking off getting warranty on my car. I do all my own servicing etc so could this be a problem when it comes to warranty? Also want something that will cover dmf, clutch, turbo, inlet manifold faults etc etc. Any recommendations? Or are they all pretty useless when it comes to claiming under warranty?

In the event of a claim most warranty companies will want a copy of the Service Book and/or receipts, typically including the most recent service
If you are doing the services yourself, then raise this as a question to the warranty company and if acceptable make sure you get this in writing (and print it off and keep with the documentation)

Warranty Wise require a complete Service History (except Tyre Cover)
AA Repair Cover accept the most recent Service and record of previous three prior to that

I have full v/x service history up until 87k and the car is on 111k now, and just been serviced by myself, do you think im best off just paying for an oil change from vx and get a stamp in the book or is there too much off a big gap between them services?

Most policies expire at 100K miles or do not accept cars with more than 100K miles at inception
    Again, check the documents

As m8internet says, no chance without a full service book stamped by a VAT registered garage. Furthermore, the warranty gradually declines in cover as the car gets older. Really not worth it in your case I don't think. My two are under warranty direct with good cover, but am about to cancel and just pay for any repairs myself if they occur.
    Warranty Direct cover
100% parts 100% labour up to 60k miles
90% parts 100% labour up to 70k miles
80% parts 100% labour up to 80k miles
etc etc - but as your service is not meeting their criteria, you would be stuck. Am sure most others run this course too.

Have a look at World of Warranty. I have them covering my siggy. I'm at 90,000 with partial service history & they had no problems sorting work for my AC and Alternator Costs £24 per month for their gold cover, which is pretty much everything but the tyres & you get discounts at certain garages. However - to contradict myself, a friend tried them & didn't have a great experience.

Your mileage may let you down

i have no personal experience with taking out a warranty as I do all my own work.

but from my experience through work AA seem to be the best

Oddly they sent me a renewal but as soon as I advised them the current mileage was 120K miles they advised the renewal could not be offered, and then "Oh, you've already claimed in excess of 100K miles, so this renewal shouldn't really have been sent out"
