just wondering if the auto boxes on vectra diesels are any good .are they reliable and a better option than the manual as i am going to buy my first vectra and dont really want dualmass flywheel problems cheers steve

I own a cdti 150 auto ... Seems like a great box to me ... Be aware though that the autos are fitted with a DPF which means it's best avoided unless you do regular long trips at motorway speeds to allow the DPF to regen. Google DPF problems and prepare to have your eyes opened. Also car is not as economical ..mine averages close to 40mpg which is well down on a manual. Tax is higher too. Is all that doesn't scare you off you'll have a great car.
