    Default Vec c indicators grrrrrrrrrr

Not had my edition 100 long but these indicators are terrible, had a few near misses already, I understand the 3 flash one touch thing for changing lanes etc but the amount of times I come to a roundabout or junction after holding the indicator on then looking down moments later and finding its just cancelled itself is beyond a joke, or stays on without cancelling itself so naturally indicate the other way to cancel and end up indicating the other way aghhhhhhhh and yes I know some people will like them and yes I've read the handbook, indicate the same way to cancel etc but its not natural and I hate the things, what's wrong with how they are in most cars, rain sensitive wipers are crap too but that's another story, rant over.

You'll soon get used to the indicators and will hate going back to another car with prehistoric old fashioned ones.

Never had a problem with the indicators. Same for the auto wipers, make sure the senosr is fitted correctly as the car may have had a windscreen change. Also the dial on the wiper arm can be moved to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor. Left is less sensitive, right more sensitive

You do kind of get used to them eventually, and once you get used to a light touch in the same direction to cancel in order to avoid the left right left right thing they're not too bad.

I still think they seem a bit too willing to self cancel though, and find myself holding them on to prevent it.

Completely agree with you. My wifes Meriva VXR is awesome to drive, but has old style indicators. Just seems odd, my 03 Signum has a better system on it.

Give it a while and using them will be fine. So much easier than the older type.

As for the wipers, your car my have had a new screen, take out the sensor and clean the inside of the screen and the sensor face and refit......
Your wipers will work properly then.

i hated them for the first couple of days, but quickly got used to them, and find them great now especially the 3 flash option, but i can see where you are coming from, 'if it aint broke, dont fix it' type of thing, nothing wrong with the old fashioned way

Yes it's had a new screen at some point and the wipers don't work intermittent unless I touch the plastic cover round the mirror, think the connector to the mirror has been stressed so not sure what to do there, I will however have it taken off and the screen and sensor cleaned and see if that helps, so annoying.

thats what I've been doing to, holding it on, I guess I will get used to it but with the amount of traffic etc it would be nice to concentrate on driving and not on what my indicators are doing all the time.

on my way to work last week and a van just pulled out on me, had to jam on, instead of waving my arms around in disgust I looked straight down and found the indicator hadn't cancelled after the junction so was me who opologised as I guess he thought I was pulling in to where he was, ahh well I love the car so will struggle through.
