    Default Help Needed - Urgent!!!!!

Hope someone can advise but fear I'll need the AA or someone similar.
Got up this morning, car frozen over, did what I did last cold snap. Start it up -using spare car key- , put the blower on hot and fan on full also rear window demister. Locked the door manually using my usual key to avoid anyone jumping in and driving off.
Left it about 10 mins gone to get in it and door won't open!
Press the buttons on the fob, nothing! put the key in trhe lock, nothing, its like its off another car.
I know the door and lock isn't frozen up as the drivers side of my car is against a high wall on my drive which protects that side of the car from frost.
Got 3.0 V6 ticking over, with the blower probably melting the inside of the car while the rumble is waking up the neighbours.
    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried opening the hatch and climbing through?

Sorted, just went to give it a last try before phoning the AA. key fob buttons did nothing, tried the key in the lock again seemed like it wouldn't work but after as much force as I dare try it opened, phew!
Had a flashback panic like when you're a child and you get your head stuck in something and it won't come out!

Panic over, but has anyone had simlar problems?

Hatch was also locked, everything was. Got to go to work now, 1/2 hour late!

I've had mine lock up like that, it does seem you need to be a bit heavy with the key, should be ok now, I think it's the alarm system that causes it to happen.

I'm sure the AA get loads of these callouts on a frosty morning. Especially from people in older cars who can lock there doors via simply pushing down the door pin and shutting the door.

That would of made me start to panic though. Glad you're all sorted now matey.

Thankfully the worst that could really happen is that your car would run out of fuel over the course of a few hours and then eventaully flatten the battery too, but having said that you would still have to find a way into the car and be very late for work.
