After having changed the inlet manifold my mpg has gone down from 49 to 44, wtf, should this not be the other way round? What could have happened? Would it be very noticeable if the belt was a tooth out as i had to remove mine to get the pump out.

vacuum leak on the new gasket maybe not be sealed properly
I would say to get more out you need to put more in, its as simple as that.
