    Default vxr steering wheel trim

Yesterday i fitted a vxr steering wheel to my vectra. the wheel came out a astra vxr. now it came with piano black trim which i removed and replaced with the charcoal trim from my original steering wheel.

Now the steering control parts fitted fine but the bottom spoke is slightly longer and wont fit properly. Vauxhall want £20+vat for a new one.

Does anyone know if one of a sri wheel will fit properly?

Vauxhall are now telling me they can't buy the lower plastic trim seperate from the steering wheel. Is there anyway i can source the part number for this bit of trim, as i am pretty certain you can buy them seperate and not have to buy a whole new steering wheel.

Well after round 2 at the parts department I think I may be sorted. After about 30mins of searching we managed to find a steering wheel trim in charcoal with a special note saying for xp2 vectra's. Knowing the xp2 vectra's are fitted with vxr wheels as standard I decided this was my best option. We will find out for sure on Saturday though.
