Default Would you use Halfords Autocentres for a Full Service?

As per one of me previous posts, the Vauxhall service for the Insginia is just too much.

Halfords do a Full service too which is quite a lot cheaper.

They are also willing to haggle on the price if I show them the Kwik Fit quote (where I chose not to go following your recommendations).

So, have you used them and would you recommend them for an Insignia CDTI service?

    Thanks.

Since Halfords Autocentres messed up one of my wheel centres I would not use them for anything workshop based that involved them taking a spanner to my car.

Having said that, I am perfectly happy to buy in their shops, I just wish I had access to a discount card when I do

So long as your service book is up to date and stamped by a genuine garage and probably VAT registered I don't think you would have a problem. Just use the dealer for warranty work.

No. Last time I used them I was desperate as the clutch had gone in my old mondeo and they were the nearest place I could limp to. It took them 3 goes at putting it back together after having the wrong combination of parts delivered ( so they told me). Took almost a week to gat the car back from them and I'm not convinced they didn't screw something else up while it was in bits as the engine died a month later.
