checked all bulbs when i got home and none are out.

Check your side light bulbs in the headlights. Mine haven't gone but occasionally just wiggling the wires gets it to clear because its picked it up wrong.

There are 2 tail lights each side. The upper one is also the brake light.

Take a closer look at the rear lights to see if all four tail lights are working, or only the top two., and get a broom handle or something similar to wedge between the brake pedal and seat to see if both brake lights are at the same level, or one is lower than the other. Or use the reflection from a shop window.

ie, when everything is ok - from top to bottom

    Indicator
    Tail light / brake light
    Tail light
Fog tail light (drivers side only)
    Reversing light

But when the brake light fails:-

    Indicator
    no light
    Tail light / brake light
Fog tail light (drivers side only)
    Reversing light

yeah i know theres 4 tails i did the split light mod off here too so its easy to see all 4 working also i knew about the using an alternative bulb as a brake light if it fails but thanks for replying.

i didnt check the brake lights yet as didnt have the GF handy lol maybe check later.

however i thought the screen specified which bulb it is i.e it said parking light but if it was a brake light it would say brake light.

i drove the car today on my commute and did not see the warning. yesterday when i got home it was still there even after re starting the car.

perhaps as owen said just a case of a loose sidelight bulb, i did change them recently. however when i checked when the warning was displayed they were both working.

Could be a dodgy connection or it could just be a bulb on the way out. I had a "Check brake light" warning come on and go off again a few times in the space of a couple of weeks even though all bulbs were working. Then the bulb went.

I don't think it will be your rears as "parking lights" refers to the front sidelights. (The rears coming up as "tail lamps").

Most likely these are cheap inferior parts
I would suggest purchasing bulbs from a different manufacturer and compare
Equally, always replace both sidelights at the same time

nothing wrong with the bulbs. they are philips blue vision. top quality and never an issue before. and yes both replaced as they are a different colour to oem. although why would you do that otherwise.

aye they were the first bulbs i checked as of course thats what you would think it was referring to but then when i found them to be working i started checking others
