CDTI 150 Engine Squeek noise?

Hi guys my cdti 150 has started a squeaking noise from the drive belt area, any ideas? Car drives perfect just this annoying squeaking is spoiling it! New cam belt and water pump fitted 12 months ago along with new drive belt

Take the Aux belt off and start the car to see if the squeak has gone, this will narrow it down so you know its not anything to do with the cambelt.

This is quite a common thread topic at this time of year as it's getting colder and wetter.

It's nearly always just the damp conditions and the noise clears up once the engine is warm. Now, I'm not saying it's not in need of further checks for a dodgy tensioner, etc, just it's not usually the cause and nothing a bit of WD40 won't sort out for a few weeks.
