Gear Shift Knob Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the gear shift knob from a vectra 1.8 exclusiv ? I need to replace the gaiter, and the new one is too narrow at top to go over the shift knob. Hope someone can answer, Thanks.

Just pulls off, it is possible that it has been previoustly glued on as they can fall off whilst changing gear.

You need a good grip and twist and pull it or cut the gator pull it over use a good double sided tape too put it back togeva

Mine fell off recently whilst changing gear, so it shouldn't take too much effort.

Dont you believe it! Mine came off in the same way, so poped it back on and gave it a tap on the top to keep it in place.... Got home and thinking it would just pop back off, not a chance! It was not coming off for love nor money!!

It eventually popped off about 18 months later. Do a search mate, lots of posts about trying to remove yr knob
