    Default Oil and Oil filter change

    Morning all.......
    Im going to do a oil and oil filter change on my 1.8 sxi vectra c this weekend.
    Was wondering if anyone could tell me what tools i need to complete the job?

    Or has anyone got a link to a how to?

    Z18XE? Oil filter wrench and a T45 trox bit is all you need.

    It is the Z18XE yes mate.
    Is the T45 torx bit for the sump plug?

    Also what is the AIR BOX mod that people are doing,and what is benefits of it?

    Yes the T45 is for the sump plug. Did you get an O ring for the sump plug? I have done the airbox mod but tbh I doubt there was any improvement.

    I havent got the stuff yet but will get one for the plug are they just a standard O ring?

    What did you do to do the Air box mod?
    Also what should it do?

    Just go to Vx, even retail for an oil filter is only about £4, O ring about 30p. There is a piece of plastic on the bottom of the air box that pulls out, some say it allows more air in, or a better spread of air around the inside of the box.

    Just found the how to on the Air box mod looks really easy to do tbh,and can be easily put back to normal which is good.
    Does it make any difference in sound?
    Coz remember my mate doing it on his corsa and it made a deep bass tone as he accelerated.

    i did mine yesterday mate and cant say that i've noticed any difference in sound.

    he must have removed the airbox and fitted a pod filter thats how you get that noise
