    Hi the car is dead went to start it today and nowt the only light on was the yellow/orange light the emission one and on the clock was a f does this mean something

    You'll certainly need to see what codes are logged. On my petrol you can do this using the pedal test, but I believe some diesels won't let you do this - a code reader may be needed.

    Yes my father in law has a multimeter also have a code reader the one we carn't talk about but will clear all faults

    Right the wife has just said that the battery has no light indicator on with the keys in or out would this point to a new battery


    Same battery from new I think it's a 55 reg

    Check battery voltage would be first starting point.

    do you get any other lights at all?
    any clicking noises?

    if you get no other likes or clicking noise.

    if you turn your hazards on And try again does that make a difference?
