Default so egr blanking plates............... what one to use

So this weekend I'm going to be modding my unbaffeled catch tank to baffeled type then fit and fit a egr restriction plate at the same time.

Now the question I have is what one of two egr restriction plates works best ? There's a small oval type with 3 small holes in the centre or a larger square type with 4 small holes in it

I'd imagine smaller one restricts at the egr inet and the larger square one would restrict at the erg to manifold

    Thanks for reading

    Mick

Are you getting it mapped out... Still gunks up the manifold with the holed ones, better with the hole less oval...

I didn't have much success with blanking plates alone - ones with holes didn't help, completely blank one caused permanent engine light.

At risk of sounding like a broken record, disabling it by mapping is the best solution

I have a 3 pound blanking holed plate to hand , can't afford 200 pounds just now to have it mapped out so will live on catch tank and reduction plate just now , think this combination will slow down the inevitable

So go oval with catch tank and don't bother with the square one untill such time as I can afford the remap

    Default

I blanked mine 60000+ miles ago and have had no issues (mapped and driven hard daily). Yes I have the EML on, code P400 egr gas flow, but it does not cause any problems at all.
