You need to change the fusebox in the engine bay(UEC) for one that supports foglights then program the UEC, Dashboard and BCM.

As far as I know I am the only one on this forum to have retrofitted a full factory foglight set up. I tried 3 different UEC's until I found one from a 2002 Elegance, Ident AK, that worked.

Previous to that I had them working through a Relay and switch on the dashboard.

no m8 ive done a fair few in me time.

as already mentioned normally you need another uec that supports
front fogs then a bit of programming to activate them.

The UEC? 4 torx bolts and the live wire from the battery. If you could pick one up cheaply you could try fitting it and see if it works. Mine worked without programming but I put it down to the fact that in a previous attempt, using a full can UEC, Im pretty sure the guy activating it with Tech2 had set the BCM and dashboard to Present, but when it didnt work properly those settign were just left as the were. Would be nice to see someone else get a factory set up working.

Wiring them up to the rear foglight switch wont work because of the canbus system, unless you add in a latching relay. Or run a wire all the way to the loom at the rear of the car. TBH a separate switch on the dash worked fine for me for nearly 2 years, it was just a project that i started that I wanted to finish properly.
