Default Upgrade CD30 to CD70 or go for aftermarket?

I have a 2006 Vectra with a CD30. The lack of aux in is driving me mad so a solution is needed. My ideal is to get a used CD70 and have that installed but I'm not sure how much is involved there. I know the CD70 would need to be 'properly' removed from the original car (or get reset) but is there more involved than a straight swap of the head & screen in that scenario?

My fallback is a Parrot mki9200 but a)it has no iPhone 5 connector and b) it's not as neat as a vauxhall unit. Important to me is hansfree phone, music streaming and satnav would be a bonus. If I'm overlooking something else I should be considering, please shout. I'm not keen on a new head unit as I don't want to make my screen useless but as a minimum, the steering wheel controls still have to work.

Lastly, does anybody know why the BC has options for aux in but apparently no way of supporting it?

    Many thanks for any help.

Mate I`d go for the cd70 as I like the OEM look and just use the Parrott kit. As for fitting as long as the head unit and screen are from the same car then just out with the cd30 and in with the cd70. If you do go down the aftermarket route MAKE sure you buy a good quality named brand as units such as "XTRON" can I think be a waste of time. HTH

For a standard-fit unit, the CD70 (with 9 speakers) takes some beating IMO So much better than the CDR unit I had in my preface SRI.
