Vectra may be going, sad times...

Well I have been getting itchy feet for a while and looking at other vauxhalls as well as other marques, I need Boost in my life lol. Been looking at finances and after getting the new house, xmas and a second car for the wife Im not in the position to get what i wanted, an insignia 4x4 or at very least a good vectra vxr in the next year or two...

So I have been looking at cars around the same value or a little more. looked at v8 s type jags, 2.0 turbo vec c's, astra turbo, the list is endless.

Today I have spoken to a guy about a mint 2004 Zafira Gsi, 68k on the clocks, fully loaded, many extras. This thing has been well looked after. After some searching and calling around its a well know Gsi on some forums and they have confirmed its one of the best examples about.
I showed interest in it and he really likes my vectra so we have been talking about a swap deal, he is 100% interested and we are going to speak on the phone tomorrow as its located in grimsby so dont want a wasted journey. If all goes to plan and all is fine I could have it by the end of the weekend. if not no loss and the search continues, I may just put the vectra up for sale and see what interest I get.

Fingers crossed as I really do like this Gsi, its also in Arden Blue, mint bodywork, alloys just refurbed........ I will update tomorrow after the phone call.........

hey there a nice bit of kit them gsi zafiras,i had an 03 plate which was only 6mths old at the
time and was fully loaded,that 1 youve mentioned really rings a bell as my m8 has not long sold
his arden blue 1 and he sold it to sum1 in the midlands.

has it had a remap and got a miltec full exhaust system

This one is from grimby buddy and its not been mapped . It's untouched apart from coilovers, forge pipes/ dump valve and a sportex backbox. If all goes ok I will have a pre cat de cat pipe and upgrade intercooler waiting for it along with a stage 2 map. Hello 250 bhp.

Haha the Gsi is cheaper to insure even with a stage 3 lol. So a 157bhp vectra is more to insure than a 300bhp bus lol.

Well it was a sad day today as the Vectra has gone to a new home in Grimsby to an old member on here......Cant remember is username think it was HTV6 or something along them lines. He is a great guy and had a lovely panacotta 2.8T v6 signum that he traded in for the zafira Gsi back in may 2012. He just couldnt get on with the zaf and wanted back in a car rather than mpv. So now I have is Zafira Gsi and he has my Vectra........Both left very happy.

The older shape is better then new, tried convincing missus before the gay2, sorry A2 lol...

The parts list has already had a few ticks lol....Its got EDS tophat, Forge boost pipes and dump valve, sportex exhaust but never had any tuning etc.
Just getting it a front mount intercooler and a pre-cat de-cat with a hoffmans race tube from cat to backbox, cdti air box mod then stage 2 mid march.....Should see some good results.

Then if im a good boy I may treat myself to the vxr turbo/injectors and maf for my birthday in june and say hello to 350bhp......
