I re-threaded to the same size and used the existing bolts - can't remember the size off top of my head (have the kit in the garage still, so can check), the hardest part was drilling it out initially, there isn't much room behind there so ended up buying a 90 degree drill extension.

Yes, you drill the existing threads out, tap it, then when the new threads are inserted you can use the existing bolts - I will check my kit tonight in the garage.

    Default

I have some thread gauges in my tap and die set.

I wouldnt drill out the old threads, use the existing threads as a guide and the tap should clean the exisiting threads and reset them.

strangely enough that is exactly the same thing i was looking at on my sons Signum. The smoke is almost undetectable but shone a bright light in the direction of the flexible joint (what the hell is that for?) and exhaust was coming out the back joint. Some of the weave was coming away from the flange and there appears to be a hole/delve underneath?

Flexi is needed to keep turbo intact in fitting place i believe. If it was stiff and vibrates. Could cause issue to turbo,

    Dont know tho...

On other note, fumes smell could come from egr valve... As the threads are worn, thus not tight fitted mean leak around gaps...

Will try fixing it if i havent had to taxi family members to destinations etc!!!

New bolts fitted, a lot better than the old ones i had, rethreading with tap was fine. So looked at bolts, it looked fine but was no good. New ones tight now.

Found an slight wet patch ar injector area, the 2 nearest to battery seem wet. Slight spray like on top cover! So going to attend that tmw if my friend's free! Holiday friday so think it'll need seeing to dont it??
