my car makes a loud clunking noise from what sounds like the gear box or the rear of the engine any ideas it has just had a new clutch kit and dmf cheers

Rear gearbox mount heatsheild on wrong way and hitting off steering rack?

its just when i start the car up then in goes and cheers will get the garage to have a look tomorrow

Sounds like the heatsheild for the rear gearbox mount on the wrong way, i did this when i replaced my DMF
